The Greater Irving-Las Chamber of Commerce, through its political action committee, the Committee to Inform Voters on Business Issues (CIVBI), has launched VoteForIrving.com as a non-partisan, non-endorsing source of information to connect voters with candidates in their upcoming local elections.

Local elections matter. They determine who represents you, your business, and your workforce when it comes to issues that matter greatly to all of us. From leadership for your children’s school district to tax rates, public works and services provided by the city, to statewide issues like funding for new roads, water, and economic development, these elections and the candidates in them have the ability to make a big impact on your day-to-day life. We encourage you to watch these snapshot videos and get to know your candidates better so you can make your own informed choice on Election Day.

ABOUT THE COMMITTEE TO INFORM VOTERS ON BUSINESS ISSUES

The Committee to Inform Voters on Business Issues (CIVBI) is a Texas General Purpose Political Action Committee (GPAC) and a 501(c)(3). The Irving-Las Chamber of Commerce manages the administration of CIVBI under the direction of the CIVBI Board of Directors. CIVBI supports issue ballot initiatives of importance to Irving-Las Colinas business-industry including state propositions for water and transportation funding and city bond elections. CIVBI is not affiliated with any political party and does not endorse or support candidates for any level of elected office. Vote for Irving is meant to serve as an information-only resource for voters to better understand who is running for local and state offices in their area.
